Do you have the time?
It really all boils down to time. Because if you have enough time, you can make sure that your stuff is packed properly. You can make sure that you contract with the right truck leasing company. You can make sure that all the small details are taken care of. It all boils down to time.
However, if you’re the typical American consumer and you are really busy and you have a hectic schedule, you might just be deluding yourself that you have all the time in the world when in reality you simply don’t. As a result you just cram at last minute and all sorts of things can fall apart. All sorts of thing can break; all sorts of issues can pop up. At the end of the day, the stuff that you’re trying to move costs more money to get from point A to point B.

There’s a reason why moving companies exist. They exist because there’s a need out there that people of themselves cannot feel. This means moving stuff safely. If you’re only dealing with bulky durable materials, it’s safe to say that you can move those items with minimal hassle from one point to another. However, when you’re dealing with very fragile materials, chances are you need professional help.
Do you know how to move your stuff efficiently?
This is a very important question to ask because it’s one thing to be able to move stuff; it’s another to move efficiently. Those are two totally different factors to consider because efficiency impacts how much money you save. Efficiency impacts how much time you devote time to something. Efficiency also impacts your frame of mind.
All sorts of things are going on when your moving and it really all boils down to “even if I were able to do this, is it worth my time, from an efficiency standpoint, to do it?”
Do you have the right equipment?
It’s easy to think that to move stuff all you need to do is to go to U-HAUL and rent a truck. Anybody can do that but that’s just the least of your problems. Being able to whip out your credit card and signing a lease agreement at U-Haul is just the first step of the process.
There are so many other things going on. There are so many other considerations to keep in mind in your moving process. So if you assume that you have the right equipment, so many problems might pop up later in the process.
